Description: During Pete Hegseth's confirmation trial for defense secretary, Sen. Elizabeth Warren highlighted the ban against former generals working in defense contracting for at least 10 years. Typically, it’s seen as a conflict of interest for high-ranking military officials to work for the companies creating military weapons afterward. However, Hegseth didn't seem to see an issue with the U.S. defense secretary (potentially him) getting involved in the business of war after stepping down.
