In a world I wish existed where autocrats actually told the truth, Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans in the House and Senate would receive the Vladimir Putin 鈥淕olden Russian Award.鈥� This award would be given to those who are not Russian but who advance the Russian agenda most effectively.

Putin would cite Trump and the Republicans for withholding aid and support for Ukraine which allowed him to rebuild his depleted and retreating forces and avoid an embarrassing humiliation for his army.

He would deeply appreciate being able to bomb Ukrainian troops, killing thousands and bomb Ukrainian cities killing women and children with impunity.

Putin would give special recognition to Trump for his undermining NATO and its long standing as a deterrent to his plans to restore the Balkans and other countries to their rightful place as a part of Russia. He would also recognize the MAGA Republicans for their ongoing campaign to convince all Americans that their country is failing, that their institutions are corrupt and that what they need is a strong man to lead.

Putin would express great gratitude to the Republicans who have undermined American鈥檚 faith and belief in their own country which he has been seeking to do unsuccessfully for years.

鈥淚t takes leadership from within to destroy Americans鈥� belief in their own elections, court system, justice department, Intelligence Services, and even their public schools,鈥� Putin would say. He would also give a shout out to Fox News for its fair-and-balanced reporting.

Figure out another source for water, not ours

A neighboring metropolis is wanting to get a guarantee on receiving an amount of water from the Catawba River.

The only ones who profit from this plan are the utility companies and new property developers. We can use water for the same reasons.

We have been in a drought while there are families in Charlotte watering their yards. I have already lived through one drought, and it cost me yard damage as we were not supposed to water our plants in our yards but down river, they took their quota of our liquid.

Our lake nearly drained, was not necessary as Charlotte puts in a water park with rapids that take up a lot of water to operate, that they are probably under contract to provide.

Again, the profit goes to the company. They just charge their customers more for their water.

When we get rain in the mountains you will get your contract amount, but don鈥檛 ask for more gravy when you don鈥檛 have the potatoes to need it.

Our community is growing also so we have just as much of a need for water as you do. Figure out another source, not ours. You take our resource and then you charge your customers, where is our cut of the water?
